AJ Injury Blow

Johnson was expected to be sidelined for a month to six weeks after damaging medial knee ligaments during the away game at Fulham last month but keyhole surgery has revealed that the problem is worse than first thought.

"I'm really disappointed that I will miss the chance to help West Brom in their battle to stay up," the influential midfielder has said.

"I was really hoping to be back sooner rather than later after the injury but it was not to be. There's nothing worse than having to sit out the action."
