Wales international Hal Robson-Kanu and Allan Nyom completed deadline day deals on a frustrating day for Albion.
The Baggies had targetted Portugese international William Carvalho and Spanish star Ignacio Camacho but saw deals fall through.
Free agent Robson-Kanu has signed after being released from Championship outfit Reading with full-back Nyom signing from Watford for around £3m.
The duo take Albion's summer recruitement to five additions after Matt Phillips, Brendan Galloway and a record deal for Belgium internaitonal Nacer Chadli.
The former Tottenham man signed for £13m and has signed a four-year contract at The Hawthorns.
Meanwhile, a number of Albion's fringe player exited The Hawthorns. Full backs Sebastian Pocognoli and Christian Gamboa left for Brighton and Celtic respectively.
Rickie Lambert ended his disappointing spell at the club after he joined Cardiff for an undisclosed fee.
However, there were no deals for wantaway Saido Berahino and Callum McManaman. Stoke withdrew their £20m offer for Berahino after waiting weeks for Albion to respond. McManaman also saw a deal to Newcastle collapse.
