Albion set to miss out on top transfer target

Top transfer target Aaron Cresswell looks set to move to West Ham after undergoing a medical this afternoon.

The Baggies had identified the 24-year-old as their number one replacement for Portland-bound Liam Ridgewell.

But Albion look set to miss out on the Ipswich Town defender after West Ham agreed a deal for the defender.

Cresswell is one of a number of defensive additions the club are looking to recruit. An interest has been shown in former Chelsea defender Sam Hutchinson. The 24-year-old right back was a transfer target for former Baggies boss Roberto Di Matteo during his reign at The Hawthorns.

One player who looks like he may be on his way to The Hawthorns is Burkina Faso forward Prejuce Nakoulma. The 27-year-old is a free agent after being released by Polish side Gornik Zabrze at the end of the season. He is expected in England over the weekend and could complete a move early next week.
