West Brom have wrapped up the capture of Reading defender Sam Sodje on a month's loan. The Baggies, whose promotion charge has come off the rails in recent weeks, moved for Sodje after an injury ended Curtis Davies' season. The deal was teed up on Friday and The Baggies wrapped up the formalities in time for Sodje to be available to face promotion rivals Birmingham City at the Hawthorns on Sunday. Albion boss Tony Mowbray told the club's official website: "With the predicament we are in, we needed to bring in reinforcements in central defence. Sam will bring both a real competitive edge and athleticism to the team."
