Tony Mowbray has revealed that Craig Beattie is available on a loan basis despite only joining the club in the summer. The former Celtic man has found first-team football difficult to come by during his time at The Hawthorns starting just 10 games and making 16 appearances. Mowbray is now prepared to let the Scottish international leave on a temporary basis to boost his match fitness if the right club comes along.
"It's something I've talked to Craig about," Mowbray admitted.
"He wants to play, and I brought him here to play, but the way things have unfolded he's found himself not on the bench at the weekend.
"Everything has to marry together.
"There has to be a team who want Craig, he has to want to play for that club and I've got to allow it to happen.
"I'm sympathetic to his frustrations.
"If he can play four or five games over 28 days and keep himself fit for when we need him then so-be-it.
"If Craig wants to get some game time then I'm happy to facilitate that for him."
