West Bromwich Albion and Czech Republic international striker Roman Bednar has been given a police caution after being arrested on Friday after allegedly purchasing cocaine and cannabis from an undercover News of the World reporter.
The 26-year-old former Hearts forward was caught outside his house in Sutton Coldfield in early May and was suspended from the club pending an inquiry as a result. The outcome of that inquiry is still unknown.
“The man was given a formal police caution and no further action will be taken.” A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said.
