Saido Berahino has stepped up his recovery from a knee injury and travelled to America with the rest of Albion’s first team.
The striker was sidelined after picking up an knee injury whilst away with England Under-21s on the eve of the U-21 European Championships.
Berahino’s initial diagnosis by Albion’s medics ruled the striker out of Albion’s pre-season trip to Austria but is now on course to make his return before the opening fixture against Manchester City.
His return is a big boost to Albion and Tony Pulis who is in the market for another striker and open to offers for misfiring Ideye Brown, Victor Anichebe and Georgios Samaras. The Baggies are also open to offers for Stephane Sessegnon.
Meanwhile, weekend reports have linked Albion with a loan move for Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen for the German Under-21 international to gain first team experience.
