Albion hotshot Saido Berahino is expected to be selected by England Under 21s for the European Championships in the Czech Republic having been named in the provisional squad.
The 20-goal youngster has been selected as part of a 27-man squad that also includes Wolves striker Benik Afobe and Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
Berahino played a key part helping the Under 21s qualify for the tournament after finishing as the Young Lion’s top scorer with 9 goals during the qualifying campaign.
The striker, who netted a brace against champions Chelsea on Monday night, was rewarded for his early season form with a call up to the national squad – when he was an unused substitute in both games.
"We go there as one of the favourites, we go there with belief and we want to challenge," said U21 boss Gareth Southgate.
"We've had individual achievements of players going up to the first team, but now they can go on and create a bit of history."
Southgate will reduce the provisional squad from 27 players down to 23 at the start of June. England Under 21s play their first game on 18 June against Portugal and will also play group games against Sweden and Italy.
