Stoke City and Crystal Palace still aim to complete a deal for Saido Berahino despite initial offers being rejected by the club.
The Potters were believed to have submitted a £17m offer, plus £3m add-ons before Palace lodged an improved £20m offer.
Albion rebuffed both approaches but Stoke boss Mark Hughes remains confident of securing a deal for the former England Under-21 international.
"He's a player at another club so I don't really want to comment too much," he told Sky Sports.
"But it's fair to say we've put bids in that, as we stand, haven't been accepted yet but we're still hopeful on that one."
Berahino is likely to move away from The Hawthorns this summer. The Academy graduate recently rejected a new four year deal at the club and now has only 12 months remaining on his existing contract.
