West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has been charged by the Football Association after his final whistle outburst at referee Nigel Miller on Tuesday. The former Hibernian boss will face a charge of 'improper conduct and using abusive and insulting words' following his angry confrontation with the official after his side's 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday at The Hawthorns. Mowbray stormed on to the pitch and was seen to shout and gesticulate at Miller. He now has until November 23 to respond. The Baggies boss was left fuming after the Owls' equaliser - which came in the sixth minute of injury-time, after a minimum of just three had been indicated, and following what Mowbray insisted was a foul on his defender Carl Hoefkens.
He said in the post-match press conference: "Where do you start? I've got to be careful, he (Miller) has already told me he'll be reporting the conversation - I think an injustice has been done. For me it's a blatant foul and the fourth official is telling me that time is finished. It was over by three minutes when we got a goal-kick. Our game has got the best referees in the world but tonight is very hard to take, there were some strange decisions."
