Baggies boss Darren Moore was left purring over Dwight Gayle's two sublime finishes after his side's 2-1 victory over Stoke.
Moore's side were to top for large periods against Albion's Midland rivals and were worthy winners when Ahmed Hegazi, Jake Livermore and Gayle all enjoyed their best performances of the season.
"It's a good three points against a good Stoke team," he said.
"It was a pulsating, high-energy game.
"We managed the ball really well and, because of that, we dominated the game for large periods.
"I'm delighted that Dwight got his goals and showed two quality finishes.
"When you fashion chances like that you need someone on the end of them.
"At the top end of the pitch we've got a solid strike force that can put the ball in the back of the net.
"But the back three gelled together and won some solid headers at critical times.
"Being a former defender I'd have liked the clean sheet for a '10/10' performance. But I don't think that can detract from what was a good afternoon.
"It was a good team performance and we're really pleased."
