Tony Pulis saw Albion move within touching difference of Premier League survival after Albion's 2-0 win against Crystal Palace.

The former Eagles chief returned to his old stomping ground and saw James Morrison and Craig Gardner score valuable goals in front of 2,900 travelling Albion fans.

After three straight defeats, Pulis was pleased to get back to basics and see Albion perform for the full 90 minutes.

"I was pleased with how we started. We scored from a goal we'd worked on. We should have had a penalty in the first half - I don't know how Jon (Moss) didn't give that.

"And Gardner's strike was brilliant. We were resilient and defended well.

"We worked on a few things in terms of what Palace could do and I was pleased with our overall display."
