Albion manager Tony Mowbray insists he still believes the Baggies have got what it takes to survive in the Premiership despite occupying 20th place in the Barclays Premier League for the first time this season.
The Baggies have picked up only one point from their last five fixtures and have slid into the relegation zone; however are still only one win away 10th place and a point off 16th.
"There is no lack of belief in our side," Mowbray insisted.
"We can compete against most sides in this league.
"We can retain possession of the ball and get into attacking areas.
"I think week in, week out we can more than hold our own.
"If you look at the league table, there is nothing to get concerned about at this stage.
"I think we're very much in touch with who we need to be in touch with.
"We're only a win away from jumping five or six places.
"We've won back-to-back games already this season and if we can do that again at some stage, we'll probably find ourselves in the top half of the table.
"Let's just keep going.
"It's Chelsea next and then we'll have played all the top four - three away from home.
"We're enjoying it."
