Kyle Edwards marked his full league debut for Albion with a wonderful solo effort as the Baggies beat Brentford 1-0 at Griffin Park.
Edwards was a surprise starter for Albion but made the headlines in the 51st minute when he went on a mesmerising run before beating several Bees defenders before slotting home from close range.
The victory was Alibion's second victory inside four days and a consecutive clean sheet for caretaker boss James Shan.
Ahmed Hegazi and Dwight Gayle also went close for the Throstles. At the other end, Sam Johnstone again made a number of good saves to earn his second shutout of the week and to cement Albion's play-off place.
