Belgian international Nacer Chadli was happy to mark his return to first team action with a goal.
The former Tottenham man scored a sublime free kick just after the hour mark on Monday night as he helped Albion to a 1-1 draw with Leicester.
Chadli requested to miss Albion's pre-season trip to Austria and then picked up a series of niggling injuries.
He was expected to miss Monday's game against Leicester after agrevating a back injury playing for his country.
But after seeing a specialist in Germany, Chadli returned with a bang.
"I'm happy to get back in the team and to help the team get a point tonight," said Nacer.
"It's a shame we didn't get three, but we need to take the positives into the following games.
"I practice my free kicks but haven't done much on my right foot because I was injured.
"I felt a good contact with the ball and it went straight in!"
