With the Albion leading 1-0, Clement had a great chance to double their advantage five minutes into the second half but his poor header from just six yards out went wide.
"We got off to a good start and at half-time we went in deservedly with the lead," Clement said after the game.
"But in the second half they were on top and we had a few tired legs out there. It was a disappointing night.
"I had a header... I couldn’t believe it. I jumped too high and just headed wide, and then the volley late on. It wasn’t my night.
"But all’s not lost, it’s a good point and they’re a good team, they tested us.
"It’s game on and we can still get out of it."
