Nicky Hammond is the latest director to have been fired for Albion's disastrous campaign.
The Technical Director is to be replaced temporarily by 64-year-old Guiliano Terraneo, who joins Albion on a short-term contract.
"West Bromwich Albion are a great football club which I was honoured to be a part of, great people, great supporters. I wish them every success going forward as I move on to future projects," said the departing Hammond.
The former Reading Technical Director was responsible for recruitment at the club and oversaw the arrival of a number of under-performing players last summer.
His position was further under threat after he played a prominent role in recruiting Alan Pardew to replace Tony Pulis.
Former Chairman John Williams and ex-CEO Martin Goodman have also been relieved of their positions on the board in recent weeks.
