Baggies boss Roberto Di Matteo is expecting much of the same at The Hawthorns tomorrow against Preston North End (KO 3pm).  The Italian believes a trip to face Albion is a showcase fixture for many sides out to beat the Baggies on their own soil this season.

So far only four sides have managed to leave the Black Country victorious in the league with Di Matteo sure the Lilywhites will raise their game.  Darren Ferguson’s men are currently unbeaten in five games with the Baggies boss hoping the visitors adopt an attacking approach.

“What I expect is for them to come to The Hawthorns and raise their game and play the game of their season against us," said the head coach.

“At this stage of the season everybody seems to have a chance of making the play-offs.

"But have you ever seen a team that has come to The Hawthorns and attacked?"

The former MK Dons chief has also called for the full backing The Hawthorns’ crowd against the Preston.  The Italian has praised Albion’s support on numerous occasions this season and is hoping for one final push from the supporters for the final nine games.

“We've been under pressure all season and I would just like our supporters to get behind the team and support us whatever happens,” he continued.

"We're going to have difficult games and periods of games where we'll be under pressure.

"We will need their support and for them to be positive and influence the team and players in a positive way."
