Roberto Di Matteo has revealed he hopes to bring in a new face before tomorrow’s game at Peterborough (KO 19.45).
The Baggies boss has a selection headache after Gianni Zuiverloon limped off on Saturday with a hamstring injury which could rule him out for at least two weeks.
With numerous contacts within the game, Di Matteo is hoping to bring in a right-back on loan to cover the absence of the Dutch Under-21 international. Centre-half Leon Barnett covered for Zuiverloon at The City Ground however Di Matteo is hoping to sign a specialist before the mid-week trip.
"Gianni will have a scan today but he has got a strain and we'll have to see how big a strain it is," said Di Matteo.
"He is likely to be out for at least 14 days.
"We're looking to bring in another right-back on loan as cover in time for tomorrow."
