Roberto Di Matteo admitted he was left exhausted after masterminding the end to Albion’s six-game losing streak.
The Italian watched from the sidelines as the Baggies again battled back from a goal down in the first half to claim the lead in the second half, concede an equaliser and then claim a dramatic late winner through Peter Odemwingie.
The 3-2 win was Albion’s first victory in nearly a month and moved the Baggies back up to 14th in the Premier League.
"That is a tough game to explain!" he said after the game.
"It was a rollercoaster of emotions and I'm exhausted.
"For the supporters and the neutrals, it was a thrilling and exciting game.
"For the two managers involved, it was probably a little bit less so!
"After giving ourselves another mountain to climb, we showed a lot of desire.
"You could see the commitment of the players today.
"They were very tired at the end because they gave everything.
"We had to believe we could win.
"We got the winner in the last minutes of the game and it's very pleasing.
"You could never really say who was going to win because Blackpool throw five or six strikers on and don't really care about the other side.
"Credit to them - they are a great team.
"It wasn't our best game of the season today but we needed to get some points.
"Today we got three, which is fantastic because it gives us confidence and keeps us in the mix.
"We need to keep going and fight until the end."
