Dorrans sets goal tally

Graham Dorrans has set himself a target of ten goals after revealing a jovial competition between him and fellow midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu to reach double figures.  Two seasons ago Zoltan Gera and Robert Koren both scored ten goals each as Albion were crowned champions in the first time in 88 years with the youngsters of 2009 hoping to emulate that feat.

At present midfielders Chris Brunt (4), Youssouf Mulumbu (3), Jerome Thomas (3), Marek Cech (2) and Robert Koren (1), plus Dorrans’ four goals, have all chipped in to Albion’s tally of 31 league goals in 16 games.

Dorrans’ opener against Leicester was his fourth of the campaign with the Scottish international hoping to continue his rich vein of form in front of goal which has yielded two goals in as many games.

"Me and Youssouf have a bit of banter in training," said the midfielder before linking up with Scotland for their friendly against Wales.

"He's said he'll get ten, I said I'll get ten, so hopefully we can push each other on.

"I was pleased to see my free-kick sneak in on Saturday.

"That was the bit of luck that I needed because I just put it into an area and there were a lot of bodies, the keeper saw it late and it went in, so I was pleased.

"I'm feeling confident, I've had a good run of games under my belt and I feel good in games.

"Hopefully I can keep on scoring

"If I can score every week I don't care how they go in.

"It was important to win on Saturday.

"It was massive.

"Leicester have been flying high and beating them set a good tone for us, especially going into a break.

"The boys will go to La Manga and hopefully enjoy it and train hard as well then we'll all get back and prepare for the game next weekend."
