Gianni Zuiverloon has called on his fellow team-mates to improve their game on the eve of Chelsea visiting The Hawthorns. The Dutch Under-21 international has insisted the Baggies have got to start cutting out mistakes if they are to climb the table but face a daunting test against a Chelsea side who have scored 29 goals from just 12 games this term.
"We have to prepare like any other game and stop giving away stupid goals," the defender said.
"We are playing good football but we need to be stronger as a back-four.
"Losing 3-0 at Liverpool was a bit hard on us on Saturday.
"We played well for the first 20 minutes but after that they got chances and scored twice.
"If you're 2-0 behind at Anfield then you're out of it.
"We still played okay in the second half but the third goal was very demoralising.
"If you play well then you deserve more but it is Liverpool.
"We played well against Manchester United and Liverpool but they are top teams.
"We have to make sure we get points from the other sides."
The £3.2 million summer signing was joined at The Hawthorns by fellow Dutch Under-21 star and close friend and now roommate Ryan Donk, and insists there's still more to come from the young centre-half after revealing there's only one topic of conversation in their house.
"We talk a lot about what has to change and what he should do on the field," Zuiverloon continued.
"He's a good player but he's young.
"When you're young you make mistakes but he played well on Saturday.
"I hope he gets better and better.
"Mentally it was good for him to get through on Saturday without any mistakes.
"But then he's mentally strong anyway otherwise he wouldn't have played well on Saturday.
"He will have even better games."
