Greening's lifelong memories

Albion captain Jonathan Greening admitted the celebrations after the Loftus Road victory will live long in his memory. The former Manchester United and Middlesbrough man had the honour of lifting the Baggies' first league trophy in more than 80 years with goals from Kim Do-Heon and Chris Brunt ensuring the title.

Greening is the first Albion captain since Jesse Pennington to lift a league title for the Baggies after the visitors secured their 11th away victory of the campaign. The joy of lifting the trophy is a vast contrast for Greening after enduring Wembley heartache less than 12 months ago in the Play-Off Final.

"It was a special moment to lift the trophy - it was amazing," Greening admitted.

"My mum texted me this morning saying she had a good feeling I would lift the trophy today.

"I wasn't getting too excited but to lift it and be part of such a brilliant squad with a great team spirit is fantastic.

"I really enjoy playing under the gaffer and the coaching staff.

"The boys have shown all year that the team spirit is there and everyone wants to win for each other.

"It's been a pleasure.

"I can't put it into words how delighted I am.

"I think it's the first title I've won since I was about 11!

"I'm going to cherish it forever.

"I'm really proud to have picked up the trophy for the club, the gaffer and everyone.

"We were sat in the dressing room at Wembley 12 months ago absolutely gutted so the gaffer told us to enjoy it while we can because it doesn't come around that often.

"We're dedicated to trying to do well in the Premier League next season now."
