Roy Hodgson insists none of his Albion players are getting carried away after the Baggies’ fantastic 5-1 victory against rivals Wolves.
Albion haven’t played for two weeks and Hodgson says his players are still full of confidence after the high scoring Molineux victory.
But the Baggies boss has ensured his players have remained grounded between the two week break ahead of a tough game against Martin O’Neill’s in-form Sunderland side.
"We take these things in our stride," said the Baggies boss.
"I've not noticed anything different since the Wolves game.
"We played pretty confidently but then we weren't playing without confidence before that and were having good spells in games.
"So, I haven't noticed anything in particular.
"We've had a few days off so this week's training will be important.
"Sunderland are playing very well.
"I saw them on TV at the weekend and they looked very strong against Arsenal, very enthusiastic and showed a lot of pace and strength.
"It will be a very difficult game."
