Hoult named Midlands Player of the Year

Hoult, a bargain £500,000 signing from Portsmouth, kept 24 clean sheets in the First Division last season as Albion secured automatic promotion to the Premiership.

The 29-year-old’s contribution was recognised at the FWA Midlands annual awards dinner at the Burlington Hotel in Birmingham on Sunday night.

Hoult's premiership form has not gone unrecognised and he is now being widely tipped to get a call-up to the England squad.
