Jimmy Shan has decided against joining Slaven Bilic's backroom team at The Hawthorns.
The popular coach has decided to explore his own options as a first-team manager following his successful period in charge of the Baggies.
Shan took over as caretaker boss in March when Darren Moore was controversially sacked as Head Coach.
He was only due to take the role for a couple of matches, but was given the position until the end of the season after a fine run of form saw Albion finished fourth in the Championship.
But he was unable to steer Albion through the play-offs as the Baggies were beaten on penalties by Aston Villa in the semi-final second leg.
In total, Shan has been at the club for 13 years having managed or coached the majority of age groups at the club.
On social media, Shan said it was with "sadness" that his association with the club has now come to an end.
"I will miss the Albion family," he said.
"I'll never forget that magical play-off atmosphere standing proud on the touchline. To all the staff, players and fans keep 'Boinging'. Get behind Slav and the team."
