John Hartson has warned West Brom must put an end to their away-day blues if they are to achieve automatic promotion to the Premiership. The former Wales international believes Albion's stunning home record - they have won six successive games at The Hawthorns - will almost certainly be sufficient to guarantee a play-off spot, but Hartson knows Albion have to reproduce the same sort of form on their travels if they are to over-take either of the current top two in Birmingham and Derby - starting with Saturday's clash at lowly Leeds.
He said: "We would probably make the top six just on our home form, to be honest with you. But, if we have any aspirations of finishing in the top two or even going one step further and winning the league, we have to pick up away from home, beginning with the Leeds game. Leeds are a team we have beaten twice this season and beaten them quite comfortably. But then you go back to games away to Southend and Plymouth, games we also felt we had a chance of winning, and we failed to do so. I don't know why it is different away from home. At home, we have a lot of flair players like Jason Koumas, Diomansy Kamara, Darren Carter, Jonathan Greening, who always create chances for you. I don't know if it is a psychological thing already but it can be that, or could become that." Hartson admitted.
