Tony Mowbray has revealed that 24-year-old attacking-midfielder Mindaugas Kalonas is set to arrive at The Hawthorns for a trial. The former SC Braga man has scored an impressive 6 goals in 12 appearances for the eircom League of Ireland champions, Bohemians - where his contract expires next month.
"These things go on in the background at football clubs where scouts go out, identify players, reports come onto my desk and say 'yes' or 'no'," Mowbray revealed.
"I've never seen him but I think he's got a good enough pedigree.
"As and when he comes over, he might survive one day, two days, or a week.
"I might think he's great and we'll sign him.
"Robert Koren came on a trial basis and we signed him.
"But the kid's not here yet so I don't know any more about him."
