"I didn't say these things and I am very happy playing for Bryan Robson," Kanu told the official West Brom website.
"I have said all along that we, as a team, don't need any distractions at the moment. That is another reason why I wouldn't say these things.
"I'll be speaking to the manager to assure him the story is completely untrue.
"It's not about individuals. The most important thing is for Albion to stay up.
"All I want to do is fight to keep the club in the Premiership."
