Newly appointed joint assistant head coach Kevin Keen wants to help push Albion higher in the Premier League.
The former Liverpool and West Ham coach joined Albion’s backroom staff yesterday at the requested of new head coach Steve Clarke.
He will share assistant duties with Keith Downing and hopes to use his years of experience in the game to benefit the Baggies.
Keen is well aware of Albion’s tradition of attacking football and hopes to continue a foward-thinking philosophy.
“I'm looking forward to working with the lads and trying to improve them, because that's what I'm here to do,” he said.
"There is a tradition of playing good football here, similar to the one at West Ham, where I grew up.
"We want free-flowing fast football that people want to watch and Albion have a tradition of that.
"When I was growing up I can remember Laurie Cunningham and Cyrille Regis.
"And also over the last few years, the football has been good here, under Roberto Di Matteo, Roy Hodgson and also under Tony Mowbray.
"The football this club has been playing has been good and it has been successful.
"It's now about improving and making that go even further.
"I'm really happy and looking forward to the challenge.
"Hopefully between us, with Keith and Dean, we can hopefully consolidate and push on a little bit further in the Premier League and keep Albion flying."
