Robert Koren is hoping to end his second successive pre-season frustration after being declared fit for the visit of Everton. The Slovenian international again picked an up an injury during pre-season following his bizarre eye problem last term. Koren sustained knee ligament damage five weeks ago in Albion's first pre-season friendly in
"I have worked hard the last three weeks," 'Roko' said.
"I was a bit frustrated because I also picked up an injury in pre-season last year.
"But I've come through it now and hopefully it's finished.
"Last year was my eye and I couldn't do anything for three weeks.
"This time I was running after only three days of treatment so it wasn't too bad.
"Hopefully, it's all behind me now and I can stay away from injuries for the rest of the season and play well.
"I did a lot of extra work in the holidays so my fitness levels were good when I came back.
"Hopefully, I will get my chance in the team soon.
"I have done a lot of running over the last few weeks so my fitness is good but of course I didn't play any pre-season games.
"It's difficult to train just one week with the team and then be involved in a game.
"It's up to the manager to decide if I play against Everton.
"All I can do is train hard and put the pressure on him to pick me."
