"Jason is under contract for this season and for another two seasons after that but we're talking to his agent in an effort to get him to extend that.
"Jason's under contract at the moment and he's happy at West Brom but we're trying to get him a contract which will make him even happier money-wise, but he's got to realise there are certain things our club cannot do which other clubs can do.
"And he's got to keep playing well, as all the lads do.
"At the moment we've not got that agreement with Jason but we're still in charge of all our players and Jase will not be going anywhere in the transfer window, regardless of whatever bid we get.
"He's a talented boy, an excellent player and with the ball at his feet there's nothing better in this division or in the one above.
"He's done it today in Division One but I can tell you he did it to some of the best in the business in the Premiership last season."
