Albion chief Tony Pulis admitted his disappointment for his side after Liverpool’s late equaliser rescued a point for the Reds.
The Baggies fought back excellently from Jordan Henderson’s early goal and led deep into injury time after goals from Craig Dawson and Jonas Olsson.
But Divock Origi’s deflected strike in the 95th minute broke Albion’s resolve – and hearts.
“I'm more disappointed that they made it 2-2,” Pulis said when asked about the result.
"Irrespective of the power, the talent, the money, you get smaller clubs coming to places like Anfield and giving it a go.
"This is a league where the small teams can do this. I'm just so disappointed we couldn't get the win.
"We've been hard-working, resilient and we gave it a go.
"Stood here, now, I feel disappointed. But credit to our fans, who were brilliant today."
