Luke Moore has told Tony Mowbray he's the man to fire Albion to safety after netting his first Baggies goal against Manchester City on Sunday.
The former Villa striker has had to bide his time on the sidelines since his arrival last January but marked only his third league start with the crucial opener against relegation rivals City in the 68th minute with a cool finish.
Now, after scoring his first, Moore is hoping for an extended run of games in a blue and white shirt and is sure his goalscoring heroics can continue as he gains crucial match fitness.
"It's always a boost to score and, as a striker, I think I can kick on from here now," the former England Under-21 international said.
"It's difficult when you're not in the team and you can't get a run going.
"I haven't had a consecutive run of games since I was back at Villa and it takes time.
"But I feel good.
"If I am starting games, I can only get better and I believe I can score goals.
"But the main focus for me is winning games, so I was very pleased yesterday.
"Otherwise, my goal wouldn't have meant anything."
