Megson Outlines Need To Spend Big
Last updated : 09 May 2004 By Mad Reporter
The Baggies have failed to perform to the levels that secured promotion back to Premiership with three games to go and now Megson is waiting to see what funds will be made available by the Baggies board in the close season.
"We've established ourselves as a bit of a force at Division One level and we've been up, gone back down and now gone back up to the Premiership again so we've done what's been required of us in terms of presenting the powers that be with an opportunity of top-flight football," he said after the home defeat to Forest on Sunday.
"We need to have players who have that within them already, we've got to bring in quality over the summer because we haven't got enough of it right through the squad.
"But I'm only an employee and it's now up to my employers to decide in which direction they want to take this football club."
