Megson remains upbeat

Albion led the UEFA cup side 1-0, but eventually lost the game to a second half penalty despite being the better side in the second period.

"The two goals we gave away were really poor. They both came from us having possession on the halfway line," Megson told the club's official website.

"But it’s still early days and I’m hopeful we’ll get much better as regards passing and touch the nearer we get to the start of the season.

"A lot of the players can be pleased with their performances."
