Megson: We Have To Improve
Last updated : 02 May 2004 By Mad Reporter
Steve Sidwell scored the only goal of the game from a free-kick three minutes from time and the way the Baggies defended it upset Megson to say the least.
"The goal we gave away shows how much we have to improve next season," said Megson.
"Our performance made us look like a team that has just been promoted playing a team that needed to win.
"We made a poor mistake and got punished but I am not going to go bananas over it.
"The boys have put in the fight that was needed all season to achieve our priority of getting back into the best league in the world.
"Our fans were magnificent but I warned the players before the game not to get sucked into the party atmosphere."
