Megson: We Need To Learn Lessons Quickly

The Baggies boss thought that the Baggies side showed too much respect to Liverpool at Anfield.

"We didn't compete or defend well enough and were too often beaten to loose balls," he said after the game.

"We worked hard at times, and I thought we passed well, but the lesson to be learnt from this match is not to give teams too much respect. Sometimes we looked as if we're too much in awe of some of the big clubs.

"When we went down with the first goal we actually looked better and threatened to get an equaliser, but Anfield is a hard place to come because you know you are facing top-class opposition."
