James Morrison has been ruled out of Scotland's clash with Argentina on Wednesday after suffering a medial ligament injury which could see him ruled out for up to six weeks. The midfielder was forced off after a heavy challenge in the 59th minute by Chelsea defender Jose Boswinga and is now awaiting test results to find out the seriousness of the injury.
Albion boss Tony Mowbray said: James has tweaked his medial knee ligament.
"Hopefully, it's not too bad.
"These injuries come in various grades and we're not too sure how bad it is at the moment.
"The worse-case scenario is that he's out for four to six weeks.
"The best-case scenario is that he's shook it up and it settles down in a few days.
"We'll know more when he's back from Scotland.
"We'll do our own diagnosis on him.
"Sometimes, it's very difficult to assess an injury straight after a game due to the bruising and tenderness of it.
"Fingers crossed it's not too bad."
