Albion boss Tony Mowbray has revealed he’ll instruct the club’s board to sign on-loan pair Juan Carlos Menseguez and Youssouf Mulumbu when they meet next.
The two joined the Baggies in January, and after a slow start, have both caught the eye in recent weeks after adapting to English football.
Now, with deals already in place for the pair, the Baggies boss is hoping funds can be raised to keep the pair at The Hawthorns next season as Albion aim to bounce back after relegation.
"I would hope that both of those players could be signed up," Mowbray revealed.
"I can only go to the board and give them my opinion on what I think should happen.
"In both cases the players have acclimatised.
"There was a difficult period for them when they came in and neither found it easy with the pace of the game and the physicality.
"The strength and energy required for 90 minutes in the Premier League is a lot different from where they have come from.
"But they have acclimatised now and I think they're at a stage with us where they can only push on and get better.
"I have had the benefit of working with them for a few months now and my own view is that we should try to pick up the options and get on with it.
"I think they are both tied in as long as we want to pay the money we have agreed.
"Ultimately it is a decision for the board to make as to whether financially we can do the deals we agreed at the time."
