With the recent loan success of Roman Bednar and Ishmael Miller, Tony Mowbray is keeping all his options open as he moulds his squad towards a final promotion push. Despite the transfer window closing at the end of January, the loan window will re-open on Friday before a March 22nd deadline for Football League clubs.
The loan captures of Michal Danek and Kim Do-heon during January has not necessarily meant the end of the business for Mowbray as he keeps a close eye on his squad and the availability of additions.
"All positions on the field are important and it's vital that we create competition and that nobody feels that they're going to play every week," the Baggies boss said.
"It's possible we may add to the squad if the right players come along.
"We should never rest on our laurels.
"January is a window where you can spend lots of money because everybody wants lots of money for their players.
"But in the Championship you can look at the market, see what's about, see where teams are in the Premier League and try to use the marketplace after the January window shuts.
"I'm not saying we will but it's something we're monitoring."
