James Morrison dedicated his late equalizer against Bolton Wanderers to the departing Roy Hodgson.

In Hodgson’s last away game in charge of the Baggies, Albion fought back from two goals down in front of a bumper away following.

More than 4,600 fans saw Albion fall behind before Chris Brunt started the comeback and Morrison capped his return from injury with a close range strike.

The Scotland international admitted the players wanted to give Hodgson the perfect send-off in the week he was appointed England manager.

“The lads wanted to get a result and it would have been nice to get a win because Roy has been great for us all season, so that was for the gaffer,” he said.

"Roy's been great for us and we appreciate all the work he's done, so we want to send him off on a high because he's a great bloke and a great head coach.

"He was building something here and we've got a good group of players who have been together for a while now.

"With a bit more help and with the gaffer's knowledge we have probably progressed from last season.

"It is a stable club. In the last four years there has been hard work behind the scenes and credit to the players for a lot of hard work.

"The lads are improving and we're playing as a team, which is all good."
