Powerhouse forward Ishmael Miller has warned Premiership defenders: "It's a different me this time around." The former
With the season opener at Arsenal only a day away Miller believes he is better equipped to tackle the rigours of a Premiership season after building on his experience last season. Now
"The opening game provides us with a fantastic arena to play in," the 21-year-old said.
"I can't wait until it all kicks-off now.
"It's a different Ishmael Miller this time around in the Premier League.
"I'm a lot different as a person and as a player.
"I feel mentally stronger and physically stronger.
"I think I've improved and hopefully I can show everyone the player I am now.
"It's going to be very difficult playing against top-class defenders and I'm just going to give my all.
"I believe in my own abilities and feel I can cause problems for even the best defenders.
"Arsenal have got a few injuries but they've still got great players coming into replace them.
"It doesn't matter about their age because they've all got great ability and can play at this level.
"Whatever XI they pick it will be difficult to play against but we'll do the best we can and focus on our performance."
Despite scoring an impressive 16 times in all competitions last season, the striker is yet to open his Premier League account with Miller hoping to hit the back of the net as soon as possible.
"If I score it will be my first goal in the Premier League and that would be a great feeling, especially against Arsenal because they're a great team," he continued.
"Scoring will settle down my nerves for the rest of the season and I'd like to get one as soon as possible.
"People say you can turn nerves into a positive and hopefully that's what I can do.
"Hopefully all the players can thrive from playing at this level, against great quality opposition."
