Albion have revealed that young striker Stuart Nicholson will be released in the summer. The Geordie born striker, who is currently on-loan at Division Two strugglers Wrexham until the end of the season, has not featured for the Baggies in the league this term after originally joining Shrewsbury Town for the first half of the campaign.
A graduate from Albion's Academy system, Nicholson has made just two starts and eight substitute appearances for the Stripes scoring two goals in the Carling Cup. The former England Under-19 international did have more success last season on loan at Bristol Rovers where he helped the Pirates reach the Johnstone Paints Trophy final and secure promotion through the Division Two play-offs scoring an impressive seven goals in 13 starts.
