No Tantrums From Me, Vows Davies

Tottenham Hotspurs target Curtis Davies insists he will "not sulk or scream" if the Baggies refuse to sell him during the January transfer window. West Brom manager Tony Mowbray has already rejected a £5million bid from the North London club for the England Under-21 defender, who is also being monitored by Midlands rivals Aston Villa. Davies, who signed a new four-year contract with the Coca-Cola Championship outfit last summer, is keen to have another crack at the Premiership. But he will do everything possible to help Albion achieve that goal if he is still at The Hawthorns for the second half of the campaign.
He said: "I'm under the impression that I'm not being sold - and that's what I was told when I signed my new contract. Now the transfer window has come around, I keep getting asked 'what will happen?' I always say it's out of my hands and I'm not going to sulk and scream and shout about it if I don't get a move. If the club accepts a bid, I'll worry about it then. I'm the captain here, proud of that honour, and I'll get on with my game. There will be some sort of transition this month, with one player coming in already (Robert Koren) and one going (Nigel Quashie). The squad we've got is good enough to go up to the Premiership and we don't want to lose too many players."
Davies is expected to be back in action sooner rather than later after x-rays showed no serious damage after he suffered a foot injury during Friday's win over Luton.
He said: "I've had an x-ray and there's no serious damage, just a bit of bruising in fact. I think giving it a bit of rest will sort it out which is a relief."
