Shane Long looks set for the exit door after club officials look set to accept an offer of around £6m from Hull City for the Republic of Ireland international.
It’s expected that Albion will receive an initial £4m payment with extra add-ons rising to a further £2m.
Long, who has scored three goals this season, is effectively out of contract at The Hawthorns at the end of the season – although the club could activate a further 12 months if required.
The former Reading striker was close to joining the Tigers back in the summer but his move fell through at the last minute after Hull tried to renegotiate with The Baggies.
But the two clubs have been in talks about a possible transfer for the striker since Friday and a deal is expected to be struck later this afternoon.
