Only the best for Mowbray

Albion boss, Tony Mowbray, has called on his players to cut out the errors and have maximum concentration and effort levels throughout every Premiership games this season, starting tomorrow with the visit of Blackburn Rovers (KO 3pm).

Despite playing well for short periods this season, Albion have been punished defensively for a mixture of inexperience and loss of concentration resulting in three straight defeats at the hands of Manchester United, Hull City and Newcastle United.

After the best start to a Premiership season the Baggies now find themselves in 16th place just two points above the relegation zone. Although not pressing the panic button, Mowbray is eager to get back to winning ways and cutting out sloppy errors at the back.

"Some of the players haven't played in this league before but it was only two weeks ago we were sitting here saying how well the likes of Zuiverloon and Donk had been doing," the Baggies boss said.

"It is a learning curve for us all.

"I would suggest some of the goals we've conceded have been down to concentration.

"One or two of the back four almost took it upon themselves to think they were quite comfortable at this level.

"What we have found over the last few weeks is that they must play at their maximum every single game.

"Some years down the line, they might be able to play at less than maximum in the division because they know it inside out.

"At the moment, anything less than maximum is not good enough for our team in all areas of the pitch.

"When we are all at our maximum, we are a good match for the vast majority of the teams."
