Tony Pulis admitted Albion could do without an FA Cup fourth round replay after drawing 2-2 with League One Peterborough.
The Baggies were twice ahead after a brace from Saido Berahino. But poor defending let the visitors back into the game and Albion will now have another fixture to add to their hectic schedule.
“It's the last thing we wanted but it's cup football.
"I thought we started well and should have put the game to bed inside the first 25 minutes but the longer the game went on, the more they came into it.
"Poco and Myhill left it for one another and the lad stepped in.
"I won't give Peterborough any discredit because they were brilliant and worked hard in the second half.
"But I didn't see them creating many chances and when Saido scored the second one I thought that would be the end of it and yet we didn't deal with a long diagonal ball. That's disappointing”
