Albion have managed to ward off interest in Rekeem Harper with the youngster penning a new three-year contract.
The 19-year-old effectively became a free agent when his contract expired at the end of June but returned to pre-season training with the rest of the Albion squad.
Harper was linked with a number of clubs with Tottenham and Celtic interested in signing the youngster on a free contract.
However, he has now committed his future to the club until 2022.
“We are pleased Rekeem has committed his future to the club having been with us from such a young age," said Technical Director Luke Dowling.
“Rekeem is progressing as a player and we are confident that if he continues to work hard he will play a prominent role in the first team over the coming years.”
