West Bromwich Albion's loan signing of Polish international Grzegorz Krychowiak has been hailed as a 'coup' by Baggies boss Tony Pulis.
Pulis is a long time admirer of the PSG midfielder and has twice tried to sign the midfielder.
He finally got his wish yesterday when the 27-year-old signed on a season long loan from the Frech champions.
"I had a lot of propositions from Spain and Italy. But this is a very ambitious club. There's a good atmosphere here," said the former Sevilla man.
Krychowiak joins Albion with an impressive CV. After starting his career in France with Bordeaux and Rennes he moved to Sevilla. He made 52 appearances and won the Europe League twice before switching to PSG last summer for €27m. In France, he helped win the league and both cup competitions.
"I think it's a coup for the club and I couldn't be more pleased to get the chance to work with Grzegorz," said Pulis.
"He's an excellent player and one who is going to add competition to our midfield. As well as being a top player, he's also a winner - as his record shows. And that's very important too.
"He has won two Europa Leagues and domestic honours and has played for some top clubs, including Sevilla and PSG."
